Morning all, OK here goes, Just before my 50th birthday which fell 1/12/2012, I was diagnosed with tnbc grade 3 on 13th Nov that year confirmed 21st November same year, I had surgery on 19/12/12 to include lumpectomy sentinal node removal, Axilla and removal of 8 lymph nodes, The tumor was aggressive and was in my chest wall cavity.
A year after all 6 months of chemo to include taxoter then 4 full weeks of radiotherapy and a boost week I rested. Then I asked nhs if it was possible to have implants, I've always had a large firm breast, I was told not advisable because of scar tissue I was devastated.
This is not a vanity thing I'm talking about, I wear a prosthetic breast to my surgical breast to help boost my appearance in clothing, 7 years on I still don't like how I look I've totally lost my confidence, my partner and I don't have a sex life as I don't like how I look, I had a breakdown in 2017 because we split up our sex life was one of the major issues.
My breasts are noticeably odd, my good side is a large 36dd as my other is only small 34,Can anyone get me to a surgeon in Leeds or advise, I'm willing to pay half of the cost I'm not expecting nhs to pay for all of this, I will need my good breast filling slightly to help look the same, I was also told it wasn't good because of scar tissue, yet I'm believing that ladies who have had mastectomy would also have scar tissue, I know there's a risk of contracture if that's the correct word, but that's a risk with all breast implants. I would just so love to feel like a whole woman again and get my relationship back on track even my partner after I've asked him says there is now a very big difference in my breast size as I've put on weight.
