I had my mastectomy October last year and was put on Tamoxifen.  But as my periods stopped suddenly I have has repeat blood tests as my hormone profile was inconclusive.  I have now been told the latest blood test looks like that of somebody who is postmenopausal. But they are going to do another blood test in 6 months and if the result is the same they will but me on Letrozole.

Has anybody else been transferred to new medication and how did it go?  I have not heard good things about Letrozole.

Also if I am Post menopausal should I also be put on bisphoshonates.

Hi, I did a bit of research on this and found out that Leteozole is more effective than Tamoxifen to prevent recurrence. They both have side effects so I'm going with the more effective one!! I think it's worth it. Xx
