This must sound very pitty. I suddenly have an itchy Breast for the last hour. It's just irritable, not that painful. I've checked my Breast and I can't feel any lumps or bumps.

This is the first time that I have experienced anything like this since my op over a year ago. Am I overreacting to a nothing?

Does anybody have any tips or suggestions that I can use to ease this in-convince?

Many thanks.

  • Hi Pickled Cucumber welcome to the forum.

I imagine that having an itchy breast comes with us having had surgery and us healing which can take  along time. That said this could totally unrelated and could be a simple bite or even some detergent you have come in contact with.

If this persists overnight then I would suggest that maybe a trip to the GP would be an idea if only to set your mind at rest.

Please do come back and let us know how this is and hopefully this will resolve itself but dont be tempted to scratch.!!!!!

    Sending very best wishes. xxxxx

Just wondered if you still have some numbness (which I understand can go on for a long time but potentially ‘heal’ even months and months later) and whether the itching could be nerve related?

    Dear Granny 59.

I  want to say thank you for your sensible suggestions. The temptation to scratch is very tempting.

I'm going to wait and see what happens. I don't want to analyse over every trivial ache and pain.

I will let you know what happens.

Many thanks for getting in touch.

    Dear Maind.

What you are suggesting does make sense. My Breast still feels slightly tender at times. I'm going to observe the situation and try and take sensible small steps if the problem processes.

Thank you for getting back to me.

    Best wishes.
