Well today I get a letter with my new operation date and it asks you to ring and confirm with the secretary. So I did and I'm not even on the list for next week!!! What is going on??? I'm so confused and angry right now. They are looking into it and will ring me back. Am I having the operation or not!! This is so frustrating. Anybody else have this trouble?
Sorry to hear you are having issues , sadly these things happen sometimes and it's very frustrating when it's you caught up in the middle of 'lack of communication'!
I hope you have had a call back and that all is sorted! If not make sure you chase it up!! I used to think sitting back, waiting and being polite was the way to go! As it's how I've always been! But having been in this system now for 6.5years I have seen how it works and sadly its he who shouts loudest; makes the most fuss that gets seen!
Hospitals do their best BUT sometimes it takes for us to make a little fuss to really get them moving!! I don't mean be rude! Stay polite and calm, but keep calling them or get them to state when they will be in touch with a response! IF that fails contact PALS they are very good (most of the time) at getting things sorted or at least getting your message through!!
Just remember this isn't just about you! It's the system! You have just been the one caught up in it, it's not because they don't care! I know sometimes when we already feel low, we start to take things personally. Try not too! Just keep calm but keep pestering them!
