My histology results yesterday showed a 11cm breast tumour . They have sent a oncotype test to USA . Did anyone else have such a large tumour ?
Mine was multi focal with a combined measurement of 160mm, ER+7/8 , PR+, HER2- . Lymph nodes 3/7 . Had neoadjunctive chemo as biopsy showed Inflammatory BC, followed by mastectomy and level3 ANC followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy. Completed this in October and was signed of by Oncology for 2 years, will be reviewed then to looking at changing from Tamoxifen to Letrazole. In the process now of looking into delayed reconstruction.
Mine was also 11cm in size. I had my mastectomy in May last year, followed by chemo and I've just finished radiotherapy beginning of Jan, had radio because I didn't have clear margins from my chest wall. Mine was HER2 positive ER and PR negative and I had no nodes involved. I've to get Herceptin injections until Nov this year.
The waiting for the tests etc is the worst bit, it does get easier the further down the road you get.
XOXO
Thank you for replying. Glad to hear you have been signed off by oncology for 2 years.
I am still trying to come to terms with the size of my tumour. Every time I seem to get my head around the situation, the goal posts keep changing. X
Thanks for your reply. I bet you are relieved the radio therapy has completed. Although they say the radio is nothing compared to the chemo.
This is a nightmare you unfortunately do not wake up from x
