Hi all,
I finished 8 rounds chemo ( 4 x FEC-T 4 x Dosetaxel Her & Per ) on 2/1/2020 for BC Stage 1 Grade 3 HER2 Positive. Had 1st Herceptin injection on 23/1. Due wide incision lumpectomy on 12/2. I’m so tired my tired is tired. My legs are really heavy too. Everyone seems to think now chemo is over I should be getting ready to return to work and that I should be back to normal, cause the hardest part is done. I can’t even think about returning to work yet re op and then radiotherapy. I’m not due to finish herceptin till end of Oct 2020.
anyone else suffered with heavy legs and tiredness after chemotherapy finished?
thanks
Yes, me. I've had 6 x FEC which I finished mid Oct then started 3 weekly Herceptin injection and Dec had 15 sessions of radiotherapy. Had my mastectomy back in May last year before any other treatment. Not always but still some evenings find I have lead legs and extreme tiredness. I often feel just like you describe and I too am puzzled as I expected to feel much better by now. Truth is our bodies have been through the mill so I guess we need to accept that it will take longer.
XOXO
Yes your right, it probably will take some time
xx
