What do they tell you at the biopsy result is it the stage of cancer and treatment. I left in a daze on Monday.

    Hi

This is where you find out if this is benign or breast cancer of some type.

If your fears are confirmed it is usually stage and grade information and also if your biopsy tissue is Oestrogen and/or Progesterone receptor positive (ER & PR)  Another test they may carry out is HER2 which is another receptor that can be positive or negative. Sometimes the HER2 result can be delayed as it takes longer to do.

They then give you a treatment plan depending on the findings - this will be tailored specifically to you and this may also be where you get to meet your Breast Care Nurse.

Try not to go reading up on everything until you have the facts, or you will get information overlaod.

Fingers crossedFingers tightly crossed for tomorrow..... Hugs, G n' J
