Heading off to the hospital for my meet up with the breast surgeon today. Hope to be given a date and some clarity as to what they can do. Starting to sink in and be a bit more real now. Wish me luck everyone.
I've been told that I have to go for a small op where they will remove 3 lymph nodes and send for testing. My mastectomy and Diep flap reconstruction will be in the new year when they're sure there is no breakthrough.
I am a bit peeved as I was hoping it would be before Christmas as they had told me it would be 2-3 weeks post-diagnosis. I'm self-employed so I was hoping I wouldn't have to take extra time off in January. I understand they need to do the other tests first though so can't grumble.
