Hi I'm new to this page. My name is Shelley, I am 47 years old. I have been been referred to the hospital by my GP, I went to go to see the consultant who arranged for me to have a mammogram that same day then I had to have an ultra sound. The radiologist told me that lump looked very innocent however still requested a biopsy that same day. That was Tuesday 22nd. I am still awaiting results. Can anyone tell me if it's sounds good news with the time I am waiting.. sorry
I'm normally a positive person and never ever let things get to me but thank you for positive feedback
Hiya, when I had mammogram and ultra sound I went back the same day to have a biopsy then they sent me home with no following appointment. They said they would be in touch when they got all tests back. I though if it was clear then I would be told by now x
I think it just depends on how long it takes for the results to come back and on when the care team meet up, it’s only been a week, I waited two weeks. The waiting is bad, but it might be another week yet, sorry not very helpful. They should really have told you when to expect your results, it’s not fair to just you hanging like this.
If you got a Breast Nurse assigned to you I would ring and ask when your results are due.
Let us know how you get on x
Clinics vary. I had biopsy at screening clinic after recall and given appt for a week later for results.
Last year at my 3 year mammogram I had biopsy on good boob on Monday and told they would ring with results on Friday. They didn’t ring as they wanted to repeat tests and get me another appt. my biopsy was clear but they wanted to double check by repeating mammogram. As clinic busy I had to wait two weeks for tests to be repeated and get all clear ! Waiting is the pits
I never got assigned a breast nurse that's why I'm so frustrated x
The wait is terrible. When I had my biopsy I was not given a follow up appointment date, I was told a week but ring in two weeks if not heard anything and it was nearly 3 weeks before I received my results. It is all part of the process for the hospital but it is all new to us so we need to know what comes next and it would be useful to be given a follow up appointment date after the biopsy as it is an anxious time.
Good luck and I hope you get good results x
