Just finished my 2nd cycle of FEC and before my next one we are due to go to London to see the All Star Les Miserables concert - it was booked months before any of this was discovered. I told my husband that I didn't care if he had to take my in a wheelbarrow or a Hazmat suit, I was going. I've had such an awful time and I really need something to make me smile again.

My concern is that we are intending to go for a pre-theatre meal but I'm starting to get anxious about ordering food! How do I know that it hasn't been sitting out, or that the food is fresh, or that it's been cooked properly ... oh god, I could go on and on!

I know I'm probably being ridiculous but as I've already been hospitalised with neutropenic sepsis (1st cycle) and suspected epirubicin leakage into my hand (2nd cycle) (which means I now have to attend the hand clinic for the next couple of months to be monitored) I hope you will forgive me.

What do you all do when you go out on the Town for a meal?

Hi I’ve finished 3 EC cycles and started weekly Taxol yesterday.

I’m so sorry that you have had a few problems on EC - I’ve been quite lucky I guess.

I went out for a lovely meal last weekend with my daughter and son in law in Nottingham. We explained to the restaurant in advance that I have dietary needs and they were fine, they checked everything was cooked properly and any dairy I asked for was pasteurised.

If I was you I would check the restaurant has good reviews and book in advance and tell them in advance of your dietary needs.
