..and quite shortly after i stopped i developed stomach soreness - abdomen soreness, and slight back pain. Also diahorrea, bloating and wind, but little nausea. I think i may have had this before so i'm wondering if it's irritable bowel syndrome, or a stomach bug. Bad timing! I'm worried about cancer recurring - although it was breast cancer i was treated for in 2016.
Has anyone else had these symptoms after stopping Aromasin/Estemestane? I know i should go to my gp but he's hopeless about anything cancer related, and i'm nervous about talking to my oncologist because i stopped taking the pills before my 5 years is up, because they cause me such bad depression, joint pain and anxiety. I haven't talked to her for two years.
Thanks
If you can remember all the details of your breast cancer you can use this tool to check the benefit to you of taking the hormone blockers https://breast.predict.nhs.uk/tool
It's what oncologists use, BUT is using data from women who started to be treated 5, 10, 15years ago or more, doesn't include whether there is LVI, or a test like the Oncotype DX or Prosigna test to profile the tumour, as some small tumours can be aggressive, and some big ones lower risk of spread. It's a good general guide though and based on all women treated in the UK over many tears.
