Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone on here has had complications following a salpingo oopherectomy, removal of the ovaries? I had mine removed around 6 months ago as my breast cancer gene was driven by oestrogen so i elected to have them out! They were removed and i was told they were healthy and i had a clear smear test but ive now started having lower abdominal cramps like phantom period pains! Im a bit worried it might be something serious and awaiting swab results, so now driving myself nuts thinking rhe worst, just wondered if anyone had had anything similar? Deb

I guess by the lack of response on the BC group that not many women with BC have gone onto have their ovaries removed. I wonder if posting your question to the ovarian cancer group might get more response? I appreciate your tests have been clear previously and were removed as a precaution (which is great news), but the ladies there might be able to give you more information.
