With all the publicity regarding HRT are there any concerns with the likes of letrozole
The two things are not really the same.
I'm not a pharmacist, but I I know that letrozole and HRT are different. In my head it's a bit like ibuprofen and paracetamol. Both help with pain relief but they are not the same. Both have side effects and possible problems, but they are the best thing in different situations.
The name says it. One replaces hormones. The other gets rid of hormones.Obviously this is a VERY simplistic explanation.
Again like Silverberg, I’m no pharmacist or in any way a drug expert, but yes, one drug (HRT) replaces the hormones, the other (AI; Tamoxifen/Aromatase/Letrozole) get rid of the hormones.
so, although they are hormone regulators, they are opposites in my view.
hope that helps?
