Hi all
i have lymphodema in the affected breast after surgery. I can now feel a lump where the tumour was before. Smooth like a marble. I literally had a ct and pet scan a couple of weeks ago checking for bone metastasis and thankfully it wasn’t. Surely if this lump was anything to worry about it would have shown up on this?
Thanks in advance
Hi
I'm sorry to hear you can feel a lump where your tumour was and I can see that this would be worrying for you. Did you mention this lump at the time of your scans? If not then it would probably be a good idea to give your CNS a call and speak to her about it.
I haven't had breast cancer so don't have any experience to share with you but noticed that your post hadn't had any response. Unfortunately this is a very busy group so it's easy for a post to slip off the first page before anyone has had a chance to see it. Replying to you will put your post back at the top of the page where it has a chance of being seen by someone who can help.
I'm also tagging this group's Community Champions , GRANNY59 and as they may be able to offer further advice.

If you call clinic they should have the CT s can online and can see the report. It may be that it was mentioned but not significant.
Thank you both
i shall call them. Just don’t want to bother them again. Feel like a hypochondriac
They are there precisely so you can 'bother' them and I use the word bother very loosely as you have every right to give them a call if you're worried about something. I'm also sure that they won't consider that you're bothering them or a hypochondriac.
About 6 months after I'd had a sentinel lymph node biopsy a 'spot' appeared at the end of the scar and as I'd been diagnosed with melanoma I was worried. After a few days it was still there so I called my CNS and she made me an appointment to see my consultant dermatologist to get it checked out. It turned out to be 'just a spot' but both the CNS and consultant were really lovely about me wanting to come in and get it looked at as they understood how worrying these things can be.
So don't worry about calling them, they won't be.

Thank you again. I’m sure it’s nothing but will get it checked x
