Hi, doing the brave soldier but then completely lost the plot yesterday- is it me or does a lot of your energy go into helping people cope with you having cancer?
Hi
Not just you!!!
I was just thinking last night (while reviewing a book) that I spent most of my year of treatment holding everyone else together. My mum and sister were terrified, my dad told me off for upsetting mum, hubby was in bits...... And there was no-one to just hug me and tell me it would be ok.
And it uses up HUGE amounts of energy holding everyone else together. Some wonder I'm still shattered 2 years later!!
Losing the plot is necessary sometimes. If only to show the nearest and dearest that we are human, and it's US going through it......
Hug?
xx
Karen
