I started taking TEVA brand of Tamoxifen early October 2017, I will be on it for 10 yrs, (and my twin sister and I have got on with them extremely well).

we were gutted to learn on the 28th April (directly from TEVA) that they have discontinued producing them... see response below:

I therefore need to research for another brand of Tamoxifen, and would love to hear from you about which brands have the least side effects and which brands to avoid... although I understand that what may be suitable for one person, may not be for another.

One of the brands that I have researched is Wockhardt, which looks like my best option at this time.

Thank you very much Amanda x

Letter from TEVA...

Please accept my sincere apologies that this product has been discontinued and is no longer available for sale.

We constantly review our product portfolio and look at the products that sit within it. This is something we do routinely and the decision to discontinue any product is made only where necessary, due to supply and demand. Please accept my apologies once again as we do fully understand the importance of all of our products to patients and this decision is never made lightly.

I apologise that the only advice we are able to give you would be to speak to your GP in relation to alternative products.

With Kind regards

Customer Solutions Team

Hi Helen. Thanks for that. Hope Wockhart continues to work for you. It would be good to hear from you again if you do experience any changes. I have enough Teva left for a couple of months, thankfully, which will allow me time for research.

thank you again, and all the very best to you Amanda xxx

I take Relon brand. I did try Teva but not great fir me. Relon suits me better but it is harder to get hold of.

  •  - my pharmacist warned me about this re the 20mg tablets when I renewed my prescription last month but advised that Teva still do the 10mg tablets but you need your GP to change your prescription. I did that and just take 2 at a time. Keeping my fingers crossed that Teva don’t stop them too. Worth asking your pharmacist first then speaking to GP?
