Hello all and Happy Easter. So far this year has been all about my triple negative breast cancer. I am two cycles of EC into my treatment.
14 years ago my cancer journey was Thyroid cancer.
I know from past experience that everyone’s cancer is unique to them. It’s a big huge balloon that envelopes your whole life. Gradually through treatment, therapy and passage of time, the balloon begins to deflate and a new perspective becomes clear. Life will not be what you thought it was going to be, but it will be life and it will still have sorrows and immense joys.
Previously at a very low point I came across this article which calmed me no end. I hope it will help some of you too.
Dr Peter Harvey - Life after cancer ( you can search on this site for the article).
I hope you all have a happy joyous Easter. Love and all good wishes.

Hi Geordiepaws,
I too had cancer at 41 ER not sure of the grade. Got it again 2017 TNeg, had chemo docetaxel/carboplatin, found out I was Brca 1. Had to wait 8 months NHS to get oopherectomy, Dec 2018 and I had fallopian tube cancer 1c. On Carboplatin now. I do hope your genetic test comes back negative. It is a worry waiting for the result but really good that you were offered it. If you are Brca there are now many targeted treatments specifically for this genetic mutation as there has been so much research into it. So it is not so bad. Good luck xx
