When i was first told i would need chemotherapy the first thing i worried about was losing my hair.I didn't want a wig because i thought you would be able to tell that it was a wig, then a few of the lovely ladies showed me photographs of themselves in theirs and they looked amazing, would never have guessed they were wearing a wig and because of that i went out and bought 2 and absolutely love them.

So i thought i'd start a post for us beautiful ladies to show off our wigs (if we want to) in the hope it might help someone starting on their chemo journey. And let them see how beautiful we are with our New Hair.

love the colour of yours, mine is the same style but a bit darker with red highlights.

I had the same, more people have told me they like my hair while i've wore my wig than they ever did with my own hair. Might not bother growing it back lol

  • Thanks and

I was always quite blonde so this was a new colour for me.  It's got highlights too.

My own hair that is coming through is now starting to interfere with my wig.  I've hinted to some of the kids at school that I might be having my hair cut short in the Feb holidays as I fancy a change so that when I go back without my wig, it won't be such a shock.

  • I love the colour of yours !

  • Wow, some gorgeous wigs on here! I have four, but now I'm tempted to make it five ...!

Wow thank you Ruby Rose I have never been able to upload photos. Anyway this is me in my wig. I was a bit worried that I was going to look like mutton dressed as lamb as I am 72 yrs old. My daughter chose this for me in conjunction with a lovely wig lady. I am still getting used to wearing it. A confidence issue

  • RoseKen1, you look like you just spent several hours and a lot of money in a good hair salon! Have confidence!

72! Never in a month of sundays.  You look great.  I wear my wigs all the time.  I soon got used to them.  Proabably easier in the winter though.  Had my op a week and a half ago and wore my wig down to surgery and bless them it was back on my head when I woke up!   I did ask them to take it off then though!

You look great and don't look like mutton dressed as lamb - but you could easily pass for a lady in her fifties xx

  • You look fab!!
