But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I thought I would update you all. I had a phone call with a volunteer from Someone Like Me at Breast Cancer Now. She was very kind and encouraging. The upshot of it is I am going to check what the percentage benefit of taking Letrozole is to me as no-one has told me. I'm feeling crap today with migraine symptoms and think it might be connected with the Letrozole.
Coheal I had a similar conversation with BC Now about 6 months ago. I too wonder what the percentage benefit of taking letrozole is for me.
Wishing all you lovely ladies a very happy Christmas. I am sorry I only pop onto the forum once or twice a week and I miss lots of the chat but it is good to touch base every so often. You have all been of immense support to me this past year and I am sending hugs to you with my grateful thanks for being there for me.

They made a Christmas punch which tasted wonderful but was a bit alcoholic!
Henry-dog has had a fun time playing with new toys and people, it’s tired him out!
Had a FaceTime call from hubs’ brother in Taiwan (they don’t really celebrate Christmas, but go overboard more at New Year of course)
Missing son who is virtually over Covid, sadly his hubs is struggling it seems, hope he improves very soon.
