But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Eddiboy, I echo what Flossie said! But you must feel better having a plan in place xxxx

I agree Eddiboy delays are a pain ... are you still waiting for a result? Sounds as though we both don’t have the luck of a short wait. My margins were “clear“ but not as good as surgeon would like for the dcis considering it was undetected ... had to do research which gave me info overload but as one margin less than even nice guidelines and one just on it so better margins will hopefully give better outcomes and will also give more confidence that nothing else is lurking. I also have micomet in first sn which was extracapsular so would rather like that area zapped which it won’t be with mx.... anyway just have to see what occurs. I think I’ve been more stressed out by the fact my incision is well healed and I’ve bonded with my smaller odd shaped boob. .... will just have to do the same with the next change :- )
Trying the countryman this afternoon .... such a headache trying to decide which car with OH :-)). ...my brain cell hurts

Hi Flossie,Â
Good luck with the test drive, hope you decide without too much stress!
And hope for a clear margin this next time, it must be miserable going back and forth.....I just had a mastectomy with not a huge amount of skin clearance, hope the Letrozole sorts that!Â

Been to the eye clinic again, it’s much less friendly than the breast clinic, but my eye still hasn’t got there to where she was hoping it would, so contact lens still as it was, not quite perfect, grrr!Â

Hey, Flossie,
Sounds like you will be becoming a mini owner soon, then?Â
My eye has been a pest, had a cataract removed 18 months ago, but I have an increased curve of the cornea which means vision (even after the cataract lens replacement) has to be corrected by a contact lens, it’s not decided to play ball yet! Correction is not quite definite enough to change the prescription, annoying to say the least!Â
