But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Art Deco cinema Violet
You live up near the Lincolnshire Wolds?? There’s a cinema in the woods there. Sure it is Art Deco
Actually written Kinema. Near Woodhall Spa??
Such a lovely area and filled with RAF history. My future SIL went to school there as dad is in RAF.
Small world if yes.

Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
......aaaand breathe!
No, it’s ok, she had a thorough look, cleaned up where the drain was a bit and is happy with it, it’s simply gravitational stuff (maybe I need 2 pillows still at present?) and once up and about my lymph system has sorted it! So yes, maybe I was in a panic but she said that’s fine, they’d much rather see me and find it’s ok than me sit and worry or even worse, ignore something dodgy!
Phew!

So yes, Violetsniff, gravitational!
Art Deco cinema, there are still a few around the country I see, we used to have a cinema still run by one family here in our small town but it closed years ago, sadly! Hubs (who is local-ish) came over for Saturday morning cinema stuff for youngsters, if they got too rowdy, the lady who owned it stopped the film and came round to give them all a shaken fist and wouldn’t start it again till they were quiet! Discipline, eh? Sadly lacking nowadays!
Friends who stick around and friends who drift away, sadly all too thoroughly found for daughter, she eventually found her true friends after her looooong illness with lymphoma and even though they all go their separate ways, pick up where they left off when they meet again!
Think I need to do some yoga/take paracetamol as my back is plaguing again, found that ‘Child's pose’ helps my grotty back.

Exhausted now, helped hubs put up a new security camera, then since that was the parcel we waited around for, did our food shopping afterwards!
Feet up with a cuppa time....
Hugs to you all (and I promise not to panic again in the early hours now I’m aware!) xxx

Thanks moomy and Leolady56 you are so right... will take baby steps at work, and learnt the art of saying no (and think what would I do if it was someone else at work in the same situation).

Ahhh, Evesham was one of the places google mentioned, Violetsniff, I gather it’s a beautiful Art Deco building? You’re so lucky they didn’t pull it down in the 1950’s when so many lovely places got demolished!
