But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Hi, I’ve looked at Bloodcancer website, they actually take careful note of the Govts posts, and it’s truly the case that if you are shielding and CAN work from home then they advise to carry on doing so but even if you’re in high risk areas and need to go out to work (even using public transport) then the Govt ‘thinks’ you should continue, also sending children to school as normal. However most folk posting answers say that they will continue to shield and home educate! I agree too. Daughter is simply continuing shielding as she has been since at least a week prior to the Govt official lockdown of March 23rd. As a freelance musician it’s been tough, and she simply doesn’t know when any gigs might reappear. Thank goodness for her diversity as she’s been able to continue working in all sorts of ways! (The Arts ARE viable and were bringing in a good £10bn prior to all this!)

I know, I’m just the same, I’ve already begun sleeping badly in anticipation! I know they are much much better than when we were young, but it’s still worrying!

Last evening I did yoga (my yoga teacher is filming sessions for those of us who can’t get to class for whatever reason) and it helped me sleep so much better, will certainly try to do some each day, at least till my Friday dentist appointment!

Dentist all done, the temp filling has been done so well and X-ray clear that it doesn’t need redoing in a hurry. The sensitivity can be helped with a dab of sensitive-type toothpaste regularly twice a day and left, the temp filling contains fluoride which should also help. The full exam shows that in spite of lockdown I’m doing ok with cleaning and flossing, and can now floss the damaged tooth too.
phew!
and a decent walk into the bargain, Home now for my longed for coffee!

we were quite busy, especially on opening, some really interested people! But I still tried to ensure they were only in the room for about 15 minutes.

Hi squeaky clean moomy, good idea to ensure your visitors don't overstay their welcome. If only others were so careful.I suspect we here in Wales will be in full lockdown/circuit break come Monday. Not that it will alter our lifestyle very much as we have been very careful anyway.

I just wish that every nation on earth would agree to have a total lockdown at once for a month then surely we would see the back of this awful worry?! But that would be impractical of course!
well I slept like a log and have only just woken up! 10 hours sleep, and I got woken by the alarm I set for the bread machine! yum, fresh bread....
