But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

An interesting morning; the Bombe misbehaved and so we went through a series of tests, got the specific problem but unfortunately we had to leave as a delivery which should have been tomorrow was re-allocated to today so haven’t seen the problem through to a solution.
ah well, I hope the engineer who we left to try to solve it can find exactly what was wrong and remedy it.
it’s good to see the operators pop in to find out exactly what’s been done to make us all safer.
i came home with a marrow, one of the volunteers had grown courgettes and been overtaken! (Yes it does happen, I know!) so tonight we will be having stuffed marrow, I cooked down the rest of the chicken, minced, with onion, tomatoes from the garden, mushrooms and herbs and spices and it’s now in the oven. Just hope hubs likes it!

That was a lovely, lovely visit! We kept well apart and just virtually hugged, played with the pup and after it had rained took him out. He got some exercise by running full pelt between us a few times, bless him.
lots of chat, an easy time just enjoying each other’s company.

He’s a bit older now (18 months) but still flakes after a good long play! He had a good play with his younger half brother, they met up off lead a couple of days ago, was very good and gentle with him but was definitely the boss, said daughter!
She is safely home, has taken the wood from the tree we cut down, very pleased with it! Though of course it will need a year or so to dry out properly.

A funny photo of Henry this morning, poking his head out of the dog-flap, deciding it’s too wet for him to venture out!
hope daughter is ok; (her immune system has been shot by around 10 years of treatment for refractory lymphoma) she spent a few hours here but was sitting a good 8 feet away with a big fan sending air from her towards us. And it was just a day after her immunoglobulin jab.
We worry about our children, don’t we?
