But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Hi moomy,
Not surprised you are wilting a bit, all that activity made me tired just reading about it.The heat doesn't usually suit me and on day 4 today of FF radiotherapy so keeping out of the sun. Had a phone call yesterday from my Oncologist reminding me to restart the Letrozole on Saturday- then joy of joys back to the hot sweats as well as a glowing boob.Good job I've got this site to keep me going eh? Best wishes xxx
A great couple of hours at Whipsnade ( the kids called it Whipsernade when they were young!) today, very well managed but people, once inside, were not sticking that well to 2 metres. But that’s people! We stopped and made coffee and had lunch overlooking the countryside from the top above the lion on the hillside.
And a good run on the A5 too. The van was just lovely and behaves so well. It’s great being able to cook up, make a fresh hot drink and sit in comfort to eat and drink (and use the loo!) Even is we don’t use it an awful lot for sleeping in, it’s wonderful for days out!
