But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Wow, 9 hours sleep! (In 2 stints) and I’m able to sleep slightly off my back too, so very welcome....just 2 not very thick pillows!
The worrying ache has eased and I’m not going to push it again. Bruising is still there, but it may well still be coming out from that second op.

Not sure that drains will come out tomorrow, there’s more than I would have hoped from one of them but that may well be the response from all that supermarket trip yesterday!Â
However I am resting more today (well the constant rain doesn’t inspire much else!) But my arm movements are improving when I do the exercises (3x daily like a good girl!)Â
So fed up with wet weather now!Â

Just realised I was well late taking paracetamol, and still obviously need them, as I began to be fidgety with aches.Â
Ah well.....
Had a restful day though no nap so far.... caught up on post, papers and magazines and recorded tv programmes!Â

Glad you are making progress moomy And fab news on the sleep front. Cold and grim weather where I am, so not a good day to motivate me to do much. Need to do some prep before my operation - cleaning, cooking etc. Haircut done so one tick off my list. xxx
It’s been horrid here too, rained like mad this morning and drizzle most of this afternoon, Eddiboy!Â
You sound like me, I did lots before going into hospital.
I just know I will get told off for overdoing it yesterday when I see BCN tomorrow! (The drains will tell her!)Â
