But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Busy day today, once I’d done the routine oiling and cleaning of the Bombe and we’d had coffee, the museum opened and after a short quiet start we were both busy all day! Got around 15 minutes each for lunch, and this afternoon in addition to our normal demos we had a booked group of around 60 students, separated into 4 groups, had a good half hour for each group, they were bright and very appreciative. Felt shattered when we got home!
Good to feel appreciated though.....

I was so thankful I had to go into BP for a meeting today as it stopped me doing more active stuff, I ached after yesterday’s activity! Phew! But it was good to have done it and made me feel very virtuous!
Memo to self; plan more spring cleaning to be done in small chunks, not a whole large room at a time! My kitchen isn’t that huge but is long and relatively thin, having had an extension added. Would have loved a big square kitchen, to have an island but not possible!

You’re keeping busy as usual moomy You’ve reminded me that I must get organised with cleaning. It’s rained today which was rather disappointing after the good weather we’ve had. Hoping tomorrow might be better

Yesterday we had the composer of the work we (OU Choir) will be singing in July, attend our practise and accompany us (he’s a talented pianist) and much to our surprise, we got through the whole work with just a few difficulties. Amazing to have done that, and he offered to come again nearer the time too. Hopefully our son will be playing cello for the small orchestra accompanying us (he’s conservatoire trained and though I say it myself, is pretty darn good!)
after that rehearsal and lunch back at home I went off on foot to pick up hubs’ prescription and got the bus back as the forecast rain looked pretty likely, it didn’t till a bit later though.
Tomorrow I've been asked to wear my made-up WRNS uniform as a rebuilt WW2 machine in TNMOC will be switched on and launched, I will be operating it! Tomorrow morning is a ‘for real’ rehearsal. Hope there won’t be too many questions, though I gather press will be there!
And Monday is my first clinic (reconstruction review) since mx and implant (I am not sure if I need anything more and want information so asked for this) plus Tuesday my first annual mammogram......argh! Really hope all is ok.

And my day as a ‘Wren’ is over and I just about coped, though I was so glad that there were people who were much more qualified than I, were there to answer questions!
now for Monday and my post-op appointment and then Tuesday for my first mammogram
