But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I had a message that Goldies leisure battery was flat (Tracker system) and began to puzzle what could be wrong. It’s been on and off the mains power system a few times recently. Tried the supply in the garage, all ok. Changed fuse, no problem, still no mains to van system. Hmmmm, does that mean a dead leisure battery? I thought and thought….googled for ideas too. That suggested a possible trip switch? I knew where to find that, and thanks to the house trip switch going once ages ago, I knew how to try. Tried, waited a moment, suddenly all was working, phew!!!! I know I’m really not good with electrics, but I’m now really chuffed that a bit of quiet thinking and trying helped, and I don’t look stupid either, which I would if I’d called someone out (not that the ‘twixtmas’ period would find anyone at work)
a happy 40-again biddy here

Happy new year all, it’s lovely to read messages from others too.
am relieved that, moomy you have fixed battery power, how good is that! Also that you are feeling much better.
we had to buy battery for car back in summer as forgot to plug in while away in motorhome for 5 weeks!
it’s now colder and we had a beautiful sunny Christmas so unusual! No snow…

Oh Jayhay that was an expense you didn’t need! So sorry. They aren’t cheap, are they? My main van battery was expensive when I had to have a new one last spring, I estimated the ‘old’ one must have been installed several years before I bought Goldie - ‘new’ in 2021? I guess once a van is built and then gets to the converter they probably don’t bother with the van part till it gets to the dealer….
I confess I did wonder if the same problem might have meant the leisure battery was going to be similar.
Morning walkies was good, I’ve been reading up about Schnauzers and dog walking; I realise having a loose lead indicates that you’re not concerned to the dog and they respond. He had hundreds of sniffs, loads of wees and two !

Daughter has been in so much discomfort sleeping recently, and is going to make her Henley flat look as if she’s permanently living there, so I decided to buy a single bed and she will take to sofa bed to the flat as a sofa. Bed frame hasn’t yet come but we now have the mattress which she’s put on the floor for the time being, and it is much more comfy. Hope she sleeps better tonight. They are all off to a camper site for New Year’s Eve. And there will be a bit of peace here, as Henry-dog goes too, to stay with his other ‘mum’ as the flat can’t have pets. However, daughter will still be here quite a lot. The bed will be a sort of ‘day bed’ as it’s a super room to read a book with great late afternoon light.

Sounds like a good solution for your daughter, I do hope it works out. She is so busy and with her health checks too.
how are you Moomy, is nausea gone? Is it your ‘new’ meds that give nausea…
enjoy a peaceful time Moomy… happy new year
a little fun card…

I don’t think it was the meds, Jayhay but there seems to be quite a bit of D&V around. I’m certain it isn’t infectious per se as nobody else in the family got it, I am a bit suspicious of a couple of foods though (they were in date but not sure)
Daughter said she slept really well, thankfully. She will be back but rushing around to take stuff to the flat on Friday. At least I can help her packing stuff rather than have to worry about dog escape!
It’s gone very quiet here, no whirlwind daughter and no dog!
Done a bit of Lego though…..and trashy tv!

Did a couple of loads of washing and put out for a blow, managed to get all in before it began to drizzle. Sadly the tumble dryer needed to be used…
all now tidy though and daughter is back after the younger members of family and friends decamped in camper vans for new year to the country. Thankfully it helped get the dogs well away from any noisy fireworks.
Getting a simple, post Christmas meal of fish, chips and peas!

I only did one small wash today moomy I no longer have a tumble drier but even then it wasn’t all that effective esp if too many items in … took ages too. Plus I’ve shrunk many things. I usually finish off with clothes over airer with dehumidifier on. I’ve spotted a Minky sure pod heater and cover (goes over your 3 tier airer) in Lidl from this weekend which Im tempted to try out !!

Sounds good, Flossie25 I’ve looked at stuff like that but they are usually expensive, good for Lifl having cheaper ones!
Random nose bleed again tonight, not very much but treated fully and so far, so good. Have my nose clip really plus a waterproof cover over my pillows for sleeping. That’s the first time since (I think) Octobers 4 bleeds (but that was a heavy nosebleed, this was a dribble in contrast!)
