But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I’ve now got a fully working (brand new!) washing machine, plumber has cleaned out the outlet pipe which actually wasn’t too bad. If any of you need to know, this area is very hard water, and he advises using calgon but about once a month, put the empty machine on the hottest wash possible and it will clear all pipes.

Temp is ok, oxygen sats are a wee bit low but just about acceptable, I’ve got prednisolone tablets in case it gets any worse, and antibiotics too.
sinuses have (mostly) drained (yuk!) and I don’t feel as dizzy now, that might have contributed to the fall. Had a wound check by a practice nurse and she’s redressed, it’s ok and I’ve a spare dressing if it hasn’t healed when I check in 3 days (the length of time to keep this one on)

Suddenly remembered the big HEPA filter which is now going on the landing between my bedroom and daughters, Dettol wipes used on door handles, sink, loo, anywhere I might touch that she will too. Loads of hand washing for me during the day (hands really need moisturising now!!!)
just hope daughter doesn’t catch this, it’s horrid and she has loads to do.

I tested again as this morning I’m still feeling rough with (tmi coming) slightly bloody dark yellow snot. Negative. Thank goodness, but still an annoyingly nasty bug. Just hope it doesn’t settle on my chest as an asthmatic I’m prone to it doing so, so I’m keeping up inhalers doses.
Really hope daughter doesn’t succumb. I’ve got a HEPA filter going and am using Dettol wipes anywhere I touch unless I’ve got freshly washed hands (and I’m washing them so often they’re getting a bit sore!)

And daughter has gone onto the tour bus and I can be minus a mask, phew! Already I feel less wheezy as a result. I was concerned about her, she really didn’t need to catch this and I hope she hasn’t. But mask wearing makes me feel wheezy anyway, and with a cold that’s going into a cough, well…..
daughter is away for about 2 weeks, as after the Netherlands concert with Elbow she’s off for the international festival to Canada.
so hopefully there will be no bugs lurking in the house by the time she returns.

Interestingly, I thought I’d ruined my trousers being caught and falling on an escalator, but in the wash (after lots of soaking to remove blood from my leg wounds) they seem perfectly ok! The fibres seem to have evened out and sorted themselves! Remarkable, I really thought I’d have to throw them away!
But leg wounds are really itchy! Got to be because they are healing, right?

Good you’re improving moomy I’m envious of your new machine. Had thought I’d have a new one by now but I really shouldn’t have found a way to fix the old one !! Think it might need replacing soon. I’ve always been bad at (not) using Calgon so surprised this one has lasted so long (20yrs?) in a hard water area.
