But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Gosh I feel sooooo tired, think I need a holiday to get over this holiday!
But it’s been enlightening and very interesting, lots of highlights but the weather got gradually hotter, which was a pity. I wish that the trip had been earlier in the year.
Thank goodness for Loperamide though, needed it twice on this trip (this morning!) and once just before the start too!

Unfortunately had s fall, loads of help from my fellow tour friends, bless them. A bit of a drama as the train was stopped in Aachen and the two tours (one was first class - my brother and me included, the other ‘second class’ on the trains) had to be ‘bussed’ from there to Brussels and delayed overnight so we will get a Eurostar tomorrow morning instead of tonight.
That problem was what made me a bit careless and over I went, cut arm a little and leg, but thankfully although I didn’t have much apart from a few small dressings, others had some too to help. Bruising will be interesting….!

A continuing saga, the first Eurostar train this morning (which had on board the people who needed the fastest possible link to London to catch their onward flights/trains, including my brother and sister in law) broke down near Lille and is still there waiting for a replacement.
Im home, second train went ok, I walked between St Pancras and Euston as they are close, plus with 2 cases and not really any decent lifts, there was no point in trying any other route. Euston had its usual problems but I got a fast train to my local station and a taxi home as in Sundays the bus service is dreadful.
So good to get a cuppa and feet up! Later I’ll hunt out dressings for my cut leg.

Glad you had a good break. Other half and I are booked to go to Switzerland with great rail journeys late Sept. It's an escorted one as I wanted someone else to organise the break! How did you find them as it will b e our first time?
I’ve found them pretty good, their tour managers worked their socks off especially the last couple of days, our first class manager (there were 2 groups on the trip, standard and first class) only had about 3 hours sleep last night, trying to ensure everyone was safe and catered for. I think the only thing they might have done better was to keep one with that first group and one remain for the rest.
