But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Daughter heard me coughing in the night; it seems as if this cold (sinus infection plus chesty cough) has two bites at one…..
she’s now gone for a few days, rehearsal tonight plus concert for her concerto on Sunday, then getting together to record and produce her annual Christmas film on Monday. She took my Christmas tree and lights, just hope it’s going to be enough for her needs!

Love that musical and dancing fabulous too. Enjoy.
Another fave for me is Dirty Dancing with drop dead gorgeous Patrick Swayze.

We used some music from West Side Story to conclude Mum's celebration of life. She loved musicals and I grew up listening to her playing the original soundtracks on Sunday afternoons. So we played ' There's a place for us' to conclude. There were a lot of tears in the room.
I’ve ordered both the original, and the remake of West Side Story on DVDs from that well known on line retailer, as I found neither was available to watch on the media we have here.
And yes, I know I will cry, I did when watching the original film years ago and even the music gets me going!

Both DVDs received today, yet to be watched….
bedding changed today as it’s a dry day out there with a decently drying breeze. (Not sure if they will fully dry outside but all washing smells so much better if it gets a chance outside.
Went into the museum, did the usual ‘housework’ but didn’t need to stay too long.
Daughter’s concerto went ok-ish she said, but her encore went better!

Contact lens clinic today following my right cataract surgery 6 weeks ago. Measured, scanned; the shape hasn’t changed much so the expert Optometrist was able to pop in a standard lens of the right profile to then find the correction, and it looks very promising. I’m now only just short sighted (which I suspected) but the contact lens is still needed as the cornea is oddly shaped. It can’t be corrected by glasses but isn’t bad enough for a corneal graft.
I now have a wait for the new lens to be delivered to the hospital, they will phone when it arrives and they can fix a time for me to pop in and collect it. They will also teach me a different way of removing it if ever needed as I’d had a problem with the left lens recently.

Daughter is home but once again really poorly with the cough, cold and sore eyes. Oh poor kid, what can be done? I guess she once again needs a doctors appointment, but they are impossible to get. So I guess it’s 111 again?
the penalties of an almost non-existent immune system.
