But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Thank you! That was such a long sleep!Â
I’ve had experience before with hefty steroid doses removing sleep, so I wasn’t too surprised at Friday night’s two or three hours, so glad it’s worn off now though!Â
I managed a good hour plus (probably nearer an hour and a half!) yesterday afternoon too!Â

Anyone else find they need a not-very-normal-for-them sleep position after surgery?Â
I’m downstairs now as half sitting up in bed is not the best, I’m normally a one-pillow gal, and last night I had 2pillows and a big cushion plus a soft cushion to rest my arm on before I could get comfy!Â

Pillows were piled in a variety of positions during my recoveries
Lots of ladies swear by the triangular nursing pillow - places like Dunelm sell them
Also I piled up pillows behind me to stop me rolling over. Then too many pillows and I am toasting.
Good luck. Treat yourself to a nice nap

Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Thanks, LeoLady!  I really don’t like sleeping like that normally, I’ve an arthritic neck that I also had to take care of too! Ah well....
Not sure about those triangular pillows, think I will try and cope with what I arranged last night, at least it seemed to work (though my bum feels a touch rough with being sat more!)Â

Quietly rather proud to be seeing some of my photos of the Bombe masterclass from yesterday being shared both by the Bombe team on their Facebook page, and also by the Electrical Horological Society on Facebook too!
I know I shouldn’t have been there really but it was an important event for a number of reasons, and I was pleased to be functioning enough to get good photos with the Rebuild Engineer’s camera, thankful for a lesson on it first!Â
I guess I should also thank the (probably hefty) dose of Dexamethosone for keeping me awake enough to do it! I crashed afterwards though!Â
Hugs to all xxx
Ps after SNB what do I need to look out for apart from hot and red around scar and feeling unwell?
