But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Had a phone call from my breast surgeon, she just had the MRI report and there’s nothing sinister, just arthritis and arthritic changes in the joints of lower spine and pelvis. She had quite a chat and talked about pain relief and when I said I’d probably try to see a physio for opinion she felt that was a good idea, plus said paracetamol wasn’t the best pain relief but when I said I found it hard to take much else she laughingly said she remembered how difficult a patient I was in the nicest possible way! She said any time I needed help, just to phone them, so sweet and caring.
Phew, at least it’s ‘just’ wear and tear…..

Music was fun but quite loud, they both needed to share though, it’s a big thing in their lives.
Even though I know it’s nothing sinister, the pain is still horrible to every morning start of movement. Just hope I can get a referral to a pain clinic now.

Morning moomy, or rather afternoon….. Very glad to hear that your MRI showed nothing sinister. But yes doesn’t help with the pain and you really don’t need anything else to have to contend with atm. Hope you get a referral very quickly. Love and hugs, HFxxx
I just discussed all this with the triage person (who always has her physio hat on!) and she’s going to discuss with GP for as speedy a referral to pain clinic as they can do. My OT hat was on too, and I asked if she felt a physio appointment might help, given the ‘moderate arthritic changes’ but she said not. That will save me money and time as I was going to see one privately if she felt it would help.
Discussed pain relief, I was once prescribed something very strong and it really didn’t help plus sent me ‘off my head’ yet at the same time I was aware and it was really distressing to the extent I was just crying, and had to wait while it left my system. So paracetamol it has been, 4 times a day. This morning I tried taking some before getting out of bed and it did ease that urgent journey to the bathroom a touch.
I also wonder if the pain is so severe because of my grieving state, I know the mind does strange things to the body.

Brilliant news about ther MRI @moomy , and what a relief! Do you take all thr usual supplements for it (calcium, Vit. D, Vit K, glucosamine, turmeric etc.)?
I know that when I'm stressed that pain seems worse or appears, but you're probably doing more to strain it as well at the moment.
Maybe to celebrate the clear results you could have a celebratory pamper session which might help, like massage or acupuncture. X
