But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

He hasn’t eaten lunch except for some ginger biscuits and a glass of full fat milk, but did have breakfast and, I hope, will eat a small-ish dinner. He’s beginning to take notice in stuff again, though, has been watching tv.
Me? I’ve finished the white woodwork in the kitchen, it didn’t need a full redecorate, just some touching up on some of the walls (we had a third of a tin of the biscuit colour) and the woodwork doing. I HATED the kitchen through to dining area door as it is small glass panels, so tackled that first off. Just finished the back door to garden room, phew! I’m no decorator but it’s clean and fairly neat.

Try not to get hung up on 3 means a day. I've only eaten 2 for years. I know he has to manage blood sugar but in his twilight years let him eat & snack. Less stress for you and less pressure for him too please you by eating. When my sister recovering from surgery for brain tumour her family keen to get her showered each morning. She did it to please them to pretend everything was ok. I said to leave it as it was stressing everyone. Every other day was more than enough as we grew up with weekly baths .
I’m not stressing too much but seeing him lose weight is distressing. But then he doesn’t do much so is not expending much energy….I’m certainly not saying much about it. He went ‘oh’ when I put dinner in front of him but ate the lot, a bit less than my portion but not a lot.
