But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I began saving up some of the smaller logs (thickest will have to wait hubs putting together his new chain saw!) and suddenly hit a low blood sugar moment (both my brother and I experience these at this sort of time of day, always have, feeling shaky and sweaty and a bit wobbly and faint usually sorted with some protein) with a hot flush at the same time! Had to go get a chunk of cheese and a cold drink and a sit down in front of the fan!!!! Our crazy bodies, eh?!

Today’s escapade, off to the museum so an early start (some REALLY bad driving notes at times, how some folk passed their driving tests I’ll never know!) and assisted on quite a few jobs, plus finished my own regular job which I hadn’t finished last week.
then packed the van ready to come home and it wouldn’t start! A few folk around with ideas to try....and hubs was told to try foot on clutch AND brake pedals and she started! I’d just called the rescue squad so had to phone back and cancel! Safely home, emptied waste water and filled onboard tank with fresh as it had begun to trickle out of the tap; so that job is done!
Picked some fruit, watered the pots that needed it which seems to have brought on the rain!
Now sat with a cuppa deciding what to cook for dinner, today has gone really fast!

Todays hard work was sawing the tree branches into smaller chunks so that they are easier to transport plus take up less room on the garden path (which is fortunately wide enough so we don't trip over them!) and all that are left need hubs to get the new chain saw assembled and working. He's put this off as he has plenty to get on with! (he keeps putting it off, I suspect he's a bit nervous of it!).
The big tree trunk still lies near the shed, again fortunately not in the way too much.
My stock of frozen fruit (loganberries, blackberries and some blueberries) has been steadily growing and this afternoon I think I need to make some blueberry muffins, as we certainly have enough blueberries, and I've frozen some already!

The blueberry muffins were lovely, really yummy, I perhaps put rather too many blueberries in, but it made them so moist!
had a great FaceTime with daughter this evening, she’s enjoying the freedom and quiet, as is Henry-pup! They are in the campervan with a huge new awning - plus wood burning stove, all set up in a field near her housemates mums home, all part of the land. Her housemates Mums dog (a somewhat elderly collie) enjoys playing with Henry, they chase each other around, which is great for both dogs. Sadly her mum had Covid way back in March (has recently tested clear) and still has the cough so had an X-ray and blood tests as her kidneys aren’t quite right either, so daughter is quite glad they are there for results time.

Today it’s daughter’s housemates birthday! So glad they are feeling ‘free’ to celebrate it. She has been terrific in her support of daughter in that she’s worked from home all this time, they’ve had all shopping (including the glamorous tent/awning that they are using now) delivered. She’s a star!

Almost all done, one area that faces the prevailing wind is too bad so he’s coming back in a couple of weeks to deal with that (we have the wood already) and give the rest a second coat of paint. He’s done a good job.
and I’ve made rolls, done a bit of gardening and a bit of cleaning!
