Just thinking ladies, as we are all going through much the same journey that we should have a thread on here for crafts. I am sure there are lots of you knitting, crocheting, sewing etc to keep the dreaded side effects at bay and help us cope day to day.
I personally knit and have posted on here some of my knitting. Would be nice to see/hear what other people do. We could share pictures, hints and tips as well
So I will start with a couple of things I have done in the last few days.
This is my slouch hat that I finished on Friday night. Will be wearing it for the first time today!!
This was on the needles saturday night ......
And finished saturday night. A little headband/earwarmer for my granddaughter.
I am now off to have my PICC line inserted ready for 2nd round of chemo tomorrow (!!!!!!):)
Hope to see lots of pics when I come back!!
Have a good day everyone xx
There is a Knit and Natter starting up fairly near me Violetsniff . .. the first one was today but I had to stay by the phone waiting for BG to get back to me so I missed it... hopefully I’ll get there next week. Ive also found a sewing group .. as I’ve got a sing machine I’d like to, eventually, be able to ‘ put something together ‘
I’ve recently come across a counted cross stitch ... I think I started it in 1990 !!!!
I do aim to finish it... one day
xx

As private messages won't allow posting of photos from computer files, thought I'd post the piccie of ballet ankle/knee/legwarmers here instead - very simple pattern done on 2 needles rather than four. Ably modelled by the lovely Sean from Northern Ballet!
Some recent crafty things that have kept me occupied whilst I've been not so well!
There are 4 more Tudor mice to do - I'll get them done at some time!
The Owl comes from the Owl and the Pussy Cat. I was going to do the full set but got fed up doing the boat! I might do the cat soon!
The Mouseketeer is one I've made up from different patterns for my ballet dancing friends who are performing the Three Musketeers from next week!!!
they are fantastic, I love knitting toys etc but it’s the sewing up and stuffing that drives me mad. I have finally got my cross stitch out again, will post pic when finished.
love and hugs Jenny xx
I must admit that the making up takes about three times as long as the knitting! The Mouseketeer has taken several days for some reason...
Cross stitch - I've got several of them to be done, but I get fed up after an hor or so and they don't grow quickly enough for me!!!
Weeblemum,
You're so clever, they are adorable!

WOW! What clever and talented people you all are. I can't knit, or crochet, but I do make cards (birthday, Christmas, whatever). Been on the back burner for a few weeks as hospital and GP appointments have filled my time (and sapped my energy!), but aiming to get back on the job after surgery next Tuesday :-)
