Just thinking ladies, as we are all going through much the same journey that we should have a thread on here for crafts. I am sure there are lots of you knitting, crocheting, sewing etc to keep the dreaded side effects at bay and help us cope day to day.

I personally knit and have posted on here some of my knitting. Would be nice to see/hear what other people do. We could share pictures, hints and tips as well

So I will start with a couple of things I have done in the last few days.

This is my slouch hat that I finished on Friday night. Will be wearing it for the first time today!!

This was on the needles saturday night ......

And finished saturday night.    A little headband/earwarmer for my granddaughter.

I am now off to have my PICC line inserted ready for 2nd round of chemo tomorrow (!!!!!!):)

Hope to see lots of pics when I come back!!

Have a good day everyone  xx

Most of the knitting magazines do toys/figures, although some magazines do a mixture of knitted ones and crocheted ones (I can't crochet to save my life!)  The good thing is, they often come with the wool kit as a freebie!

Alan Dart, whose website I put up above, was commissioned by one of the magazines (I think Let's Knit) to produce patterns but this stopped about four months ago. That means that some of his patterns aren't available on his website as they were then owned by the magazine for at least a certain time! They go for silly money on ebay etc!!!

  • Hi,Just popped in to show you what I have been upto.At Knit and Natter ,I rather rebelliously,do sewing!!(well,I did have tennis elbow and now prefer it...nobody seems to mind)

This is going to take me 100 years at this rate...but anyway...my gorgeous great-nephew and -niece,and their doggy.

  • Have also just finished this jumper. It looks a bit rough deliberately as I was inspired by watching Paddington2.All I need now is a Paddington to go into it...then it may go to the Hospital for their Christmas raffle...not sure yet....x

  • Wow that looks fab!!!!  How clever xxx

That's going to be great! I've been up in Norfolk and stitching a couple of things - one enormous piece which I will probably still be stitching on my death bed and a small thing which came with a magazine.

  • Hi Tigermum...This is what I do when having chemo love my cross stitch the time goes so quick...just about finished my latest one will take a pic. I think it’s brilliant for taking your mind off everything x

  • Hi ...I just love your name!! I thought you might like to see a hare which my friend at Knit and Natter made and brought today.... I love him but she doesn’t very much~as for me well I was completely harebrained and sat elegantly sewing a kitchen window onto my little birdhhouse...just like a sweet Edwardian lady...perfect symmetry etc...only to realise that I had sewn it on,perfectly, upside down!!! Doh!! So I didnt tell anyone but just went for a little cross walk around the craft Centre.....xx

  • Hi there Violetsniff ....thanks the name just came to me, nothing to do with the fact I love HARES!!

I have many things like prints, cushions, cuddly, etc

They are just fascinating and I’ve never even seen one!!

Your cuddly hare is very cute with its tiny little arms.....

    Chat soon xx
