Just thinking ladies, as we are all going through much the same journey that we should have a thread on here for crafts. I am sure there are lots of you knitting, crocheting, sewing etc to keep the dreaded side effects at bay and help us cope day to day.
I personally knit and have posted on here some of my knitting. Would be nice to see/hear what other people do. We could share pictures, hints and tips as well
So I will start with a couple of things I have done in the last few days.
This is my slouch hat that I finished on Friday night. Will be wearing it for the first time today!!
This was on the needles saturday night ......
And finished saturday night. A little headband/earwarmer for my granddaughter.
I am now off to have my PICC line inserted ready for 2nd round of chemo tomorrow (!!!!!!):)
Hope to see lots of pics when I come back!!
Have a good day everyone xx
Thankyou lovely ladies, that means a lot...she took me sooooooooooooooooo loooooooooooooooong.I am madly tring to finish this tapestry now,to begin a new one,and made some more collages yesterday...I use my own photos and blow them up and put bits I collect on them xx
Hi ladies,
Finally finished and framed my latest cross stitch, ready to start my next one now,
Keep posting your pictures they really are an inspiration.
Love and hugs .Jenny xx
Oh that's pretty Jenny. And nicely framed too. I'm plugging away at my HAED storykeep design. This photo is from last week so I've done a bit more since then. It's helping to keep me calm. Had ANOTHER MRI yesterday (on my spine!) so need to keep busy whille waiting for results!
Hi Tigermum,
That looks lovely, can’t wait to see it finished.
Love Jenny xx
Just finished 2nd doggie coat and now to attempt my first knitted knocker. Can’t believe I’m sitting here deciding what colour to use. Was thinking they needed to be beige/cream or a pale pink but saw some in vibrant and even rainbow colours and thought they looked brilliant.
I'm loving all these crafty posts! The moon hare, and ladies in beautiful floaty dresses, quilt, doll, jumper... they're all fantastic.Â
I'm a screen printer, I print upto 2 meters by 2 meters of fabric at a time but haven't been able to do any printing for a while because of the thingybob that got lobbed off!Â
I've not done anything crafty since this journey began, but tonight I made myself some cold porcelain ready for tomorrow. Plan to make coasters but I've got a feeling it's going to go horribly wrong! XxÂ
...hi...just go for it!!
it will be lovely to see your porcelain coasters...the best thing that will happen is that you will find your creative side again and get lost in it...which is just really good for you xx
