Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Beautiful photos HF!!
I’ve been in a friends narrow boat, would like to have a week or more in one ….
we have motorhome now tho …
Ooh I’d love a narrow boat Jayhay! In a previous life with a different partner, we often hired little cruisers for a week on the Norfolk Broads. Out of school holidays so never busy in those days (several decades ago!). It suited us well as we could take my dog. Such a peaceful way of life, pottering along the rivers and broads. A motor home must also be lovely as you can pretty much go where you please. Sounds like you went so many varied places on your last trip.
Today’s photo is a growing buddleia at the edge of a meadow. Saw a little egret by the river but too busy chatting to get a photo! Love to all, HFxx
My first walk of the day.....to the bakers. We are in the hill top village on outside edge with stunning views
But the bakers is naturally at the base of the hill. So as it was such a beautiful morning.....I walked down and back up.....with croissants....before OH woke up!
Beautiful!
enjoy your walks and lovely views…..
Hugs xxx
