Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
the best thing I ever got was a wireless Thermostat .Hubby never knows where it is .lol Also I know where cold spots are so can turn down thermostat but heating stays on longer to warm cold spot up Whilst I can benefit in other room

What can I say. That's taking it to the next level. Genius. Move over Q. I must enquire about this gadget.
Hope you get there. So annoying that colds are easily oassed between partners. I am obsessive about alc gel, but dies not always work! xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Northerner, we have one like that. , we are the same, I am the hot one. Tho when I was on chemo I was always cold xx

What a pest these autumn colds can be! Since the Bombe moved we see less people (but much more interested people) and the groups of 80+ coughing and sneezing in your face while you’re doing a presentation are no more; the groups are max 20 or so, usually 15 of school groups at a time, so the inhale of breath needed to speak clearly to a large group is nowhere near as deep, hence I didn’t need anything more than just standard cold relief meds last winter! Usually it’s courses of steroids plus antibiotics on top of my asthma meds.
we had a walk/wheel in the chilly sun this morning to pick up repeat meds and for hubs to get his flu jab (it was too wet for his powered wheels last week when I had mine, so it was just me then)

Well,it’s still walking,moomy!
you are so sweet you always encouraging.
while I am on the subject of my tendonitis, just lately it has been quite bad...and I find if I am in town and drop something,I can’t actually bend to pick it up!!I was in a well-known clothes shop last week, and it was a bit empty, but had popped in on way passed,(as you do)and I dropped something.I looked for an assistant but couldn’t see one,and ,so that nobody would think I was such an untidy person to drop some clothing on a shop floor, and walk away(!),I just had to ask the only people in the shop I could see,who were actually having a romantic kiss among the jumpers!!I explained the situation, and had to keep apologising for interrupting their kisses, much to the amusement of the man xx
Hi all, such a cold start to the day! 2 degrees in the car on way to nordic walking. Wore gloves for the first time as well as a fleece. Lots of lunges and squats, think I'll have aching legs tomorrow. Also some press up things which I couldn't do as involved arms behind body - too sore. Got home exhausted and had a nap before walking with friend to next town, weather a bit dreary but not raining, just a bit dull for photos. Nice coffee and lunch in cafe. Should sleep well!
Violetsniff you always seem to do such lovely art projects with your nephews and nieces, you must be their favourite aunty! And love the story re sabotaging the kiss! Sorry about the swimming seaspirit44, horrible when medical stuff gets in the way. I enjoy swimming in the sea when I get the chance, sadly no outdoor pools near me. moomy glad you got your appointments over and done with, sorry more waiting now....
Will try a couple of photos - a grebe I think and a pretty cow with cute markings and floofy ears!
