Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi all, more great photos!
Lacomtekp so sorry to hear all the shenanigans around your parents' care and assets, so sad when all you want is for them to be as happy and independent as possible. Families can be very strange (and horrible) where money is concerned. I hope no news continues to be good news re your dear dad, so difficult for you from far away. But sounds very much as if he is 'stable'.
Your holiday photos are lovely, glad you are getting to so many different places. I don't envy you the heat though, I am hopeless with anything above the mid-twenties. Would like some sunshine tholugh (which I think is on the way tomorrow) as it's been so rainy and grey lately. I love autumn but some of the recent downpours have been a bit much!
Didn't walk today but managed my second swimming trip. Hate swimming but it's recommended for lymphoedema and does seem to make bad boob feel more comfortable. I'm aiming for 2 extra lengths each week (I'm not a good swimmer) so went from 12 last week to 14 this week. That's good for me! Can only do breaststroke but that's the best one anyway for bad boob. Felt I'd earned a coffee in nice cafe afterwards then lunch at a friend's. seaspirit44 are you still swimming?
Love to all, HFxx
P.S. I'm paying the nice weather price now.....Storm has been overhead for 45 minutes and the rain......well, I know now why all the roads have ditches/ gutters three foot deep!
Looking forward to the sun tomorrow... it’s here according to my weather app so got my hopes up. Only out to pick up train tickets today... did some wiifit though... I do put a lot of effort into it ♀️

Well done for the swimming HappyFeet1, especially as you hate it! Sadly I have not been well enough to go swimming since hols on July. Then I swam twice a day in the sea, despite recent shingles, but since then a series of things have prevented me. Hopefully I will be through it allby November, and they are keeping the outdoor pool open through December, as long as no snow/ice xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Yeah
The suns shining. It's freezing, well it is up here but it's sunny.
I have bulbs to plant today.
Treatment number 10 today. Distinct signs of pink BlackBerry but things seem OK.
I hope everyone can enjoy the sun.
Sun is out but it must have been cold as heating on ... lots of condensation so whacked the thermostat up a bit more and dehumidifier on. Need to get the washing machine on and get out for a walk. York beckons this week.
Hope number 10 goes ok
Swimming sounds good but I’ve not got myself in gear for that ...yet ... Hope you get back to it next month seaspirit44
xx

Yep
Now starts the battle of the thermostats. Hubby tweeking down as I tweek up.
I can just imagine the conversations about the heating bills now we are not working. I'm afraid he will at some point tell me to put another jumper on!
The forecast seems a bit better for the weekend, thank goodness. Even he doesn't enjoy beaches in the rain. I struggle on beaches in the South of France never mind the east coast of yorkshire. It's the sand I hate.
Now, bulbs.
Hi seaspirit44
Cold being very stubborn think I might have to visit for antibiotics as sinus getting infected and I certainly don't want more delay on chemo . If we get to Whitby ( hubby now got cold ,what can I say Im generous ) I don't think I'll be doing the 99 steps . Will stay on the flat either side of swing bridge at harbour . Although harbour did flood the other day with combination of rain and high tide !
hope your feeling better soon.
