Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
HappyFeet1.... happy travels and meeting with daughter. Nordic walking must be quite popular as moomy does it too. Railcards are good to have. I got a 3 year one last time as discounted.
Getting out for a walk soon, just round village, before the rain comes
Happy activities all

What a beautiful view, Margaret!
I am still being lazy, but have picked lots of fruit (and a couple of ripened cherry tomatoes too) and managed to speedily cut the lawn in between showers. It didn’t need much but some areas have grown so it’s evened up now!
Sat with a second coffee (who’s counting?!) in our garden room with door open, watching the next shower.....

Walked round shopping centre, unproductive search for a small frame ,but found other essentials instead! At least it does t rain inside there.....and I've done almost 2 miles!

Send rain to the Charente please....one hour north of Bordeaux. We have lived here for 20 years but this is the driest summer since 2003. Global warming?
I always loved the Lake District when my ' men' were small. Keswick and Grasmere were our family favourites.
We came from the Home Counties so the scenery was such a change. Now we think nothing of popping through the Pyrenees or over to the Alps where our son lives.
Enjoy your weekend. It doesn't matter if you cry....who'll see you on that lovely site?....but hopefully you'll find some peace of mind and feel ready to tackle whatever gets thrown your way next.
I was really unwell during treatment and again last year after an operation which was probably needed due to problems caused by the chemo but I'm still here and hopefully will be for a while yet. Certainly, as of early July, I still am free of the bc.
Take care and chat again after your break.
Love Karen
