Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
HappyFeet1, I have found homeopathic treatment an absolute godsend. It helped greatly with side effects of chemo and with the subsequent depression. I think someone who specialises in cancer is better. I go to the NCIM in Bristol, sometimes in person and often via Skype.
, I needed help ! Xxx

Hi Moomy
we had our caravan for ten year now since I retired and spend about 70% of our time there .So peaceful and those hills are never ever boring .
It has encouraged us to embrace the outdoor life ,and keep moving . I've missed it so much the last four weeks and will disappear over the A66 as soon as I get review .
Think I need to gat off rollercoaster for a little while and chill .
love and hugs
xoxo
We used to caravan, but touring. We all loved it but it’s been too much for hubs now for a few years so we sadly sold up quite a few years ago and now rent cottages instead. It was a great time while our kids were young and they loved it.
enjoy every moment

Just come home from a couple of days in the motorhome at Bridlington.weather was great sunny and breezy. Proper burning weather. Took the grandchildren. It was glorious, old style, fish and chips ice cream and rides. Went with Motorhomers, so lots of friends helping us keep an eye on the girls.as we are retiring this is the last time we will have to cut short our time for work.
Years ago I used to holiday in a touring caravan. At one time it was pulled by a Mini. Got lots of stares from drinkers in pubs and passers by. Great holidays, but had to sell when family circumstances changed, ( 2 divorces) Too old to do it now, and very happily married. (3 years) Stay in cottages now, Happy walking/ outdoor activities everyone xxxx

Our first touring caravan was 9 foot 2 inches long and we towed it with a Morris Minor estate! (A ‘Woody’) it struggled up the hills but was replaced by a much bigger car and then we replaced the caravan too for a bigger model...
no walking for me at the mo, rather too bruised and sore after a fall this morning....

Had a rather horrid journey from Plymouth to Bristol, lots of trafgic jams. I don’t cope with them well, and we were almost late for my appt. Ended up having a meltdown in the waiting room while trying to eat a late. lunch sandwich and grab a drink . Wasn’t helped by a. call on route from the builder saying that one of the plumbers had unplugged the freezer! It was full of food cooked by lovely DH. Quite a problem because I am on very restricted diet and need food specially prepared. Someone is going to pay!!!
The consult went well and the rest of the journey seems to be going well

Oh @moomy. Hope you are ok after your fall. Ice packs and take it easy.
seaspirit44 - travelling can be so stressful. Hope you are home safe and well.
enjoying family holiday and have seen grandson playing on beach. Can't make it down to the sea but they have been taking videos. He loves it!
Thank you ,got home at 19.15, relatively smooth second part of journey.
I'm so glad you are enjoying your holiday. Do you like the hot weather? Sorry you can't make it to the sea, but glad you are spending time with your family. Loved the chicken! Xxx
