Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
My usual happy walk this afternoon
we said a fond goodbye and thank you to a veteran today who had decided to ‘hang up her Bombe shoes’, so to speak, she decided regular Sunday on the tube, train and a lift from the station, talking to the public and then the reverse journey regularly was a bit too much every other Sunday at the age of 93! So we taxi’d her door to door and presented her with a plaque and flowers, and for us she whisked a cloth off the new Enigma! Lots of photos to be used by our publicity team.... Hope I’m as good as her at 93!
But these are dog roses from my walk!

Heavy rain?? moomy.
Different swim this morning,. Got there and found the outdoor pool closed pump problems
Had to use the indoor pool next to the water aerobics complete with shouting and loud pop music ( not a fan) Shared my lane with a man who swam in the middle, and I managed to kick the steps 4 times trying to keep out of his way ouch! After they had all gone I had a lovely swim, forgetting that it is a 25 m pool rather than 20, and went much further then I intended. Bit tired after, but really enjoyed it. Xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Well done , making the best if it and enjoying yourself despite the mobility problems. Interesting to see what a Letrozole free month brings xx

I’ve realised that walking is a brilliant way to sort out the mind as well as getting physically fitter, I was quite stressed out about yesterday’s presentation to our veteran and what I had to organise to get it all done. It worked out fine, but the walk (my usual happy walk) really made me concentrate far more on the living world about me and de-stressed me totally! I heard a cuckoo, saw lovely plant life, breathed in the air from across the lake, and even rescued a dozy bumble bee from the track and popped him gently onto an elderflower bush, so out of harms way from the bikes that, just after school, use that track a lot. Hope he survived!

I agree! I got home from work tonight feeling weary, OH said he hadn’t done dog walk yet as it’s rained all day. It had just stopped so off we went, I was up got it having been indoors all day.
Well the clouds cleared, sun came out, it all smelt lovely, the birds were singing and I thought what a wonderful treat
On the sofa now!
