Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
You put me to shame so I shot out to do my happy walk!
Its astonishing how the look of the walk has changed since the bare branches of winter

Hi all, got back from trip to Edinburgh yesterday and have been trying to catch up on a few threads - managed to read some and 'like' a few while away, but no chance to post or read properly. Great photos on here while I've been away, I think my favourite is Willy Wonka, ! Love the name and seems like he's getting you back on the road to freedom!
Very sociable visit but also managed a few walks. Nearly blown off a pier on Sunday morning - definitely no cobwebs left to blow away! Calmer walk in the afternoon and loved this Antony Gormley figure.....
Lucky with weather, chilly wind but some lovely sunshine too. HFxx
, love Willy Wonka! Well done for getting out! I'm glad yiu are being investigated properly. You are Copong magnificently with horrible problems, not letting them stop you. Big hugs xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
HappyFeet1, how did Antony Gormley get up there? I thought all his figures were in Crosby. Xxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
, sorry about the typo again, coping!!!!!
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
I didn’t know about the Antony Gormley statues in Edinburgh either till last Sunday seaspirit44, apparently there are 6, installed in Water of Leith in 2010. He gets about!! HFxx
Lots of clouds so far here, and a bit of faint drizzle first thing so I got out for my walk early before the humidity gets too high, lovely circular walk encompassing fields kept free of livestock to enable the access to a super bend in the river which has a ‘beach’! Then back round the Common
