Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Love the tree photos, and (plus cute robin), also the flowers Flossie25, and very impressed with your London trek moomy!
Finally got out for a decent walk today with friend, definitely blew the cobwebs away as it was very gusty at times!
River, small lake, muddy paths, nothing spectacular but pleasant counntry walk to garden centre (drove partway this week so a much nicer walk), perfect break for tea and scone then headed back a slightly shorter return route.
Happy weekend walking all, HFxx
Looks lovely HappyFeet1 and scones are my favourite!
Just noticed that I put a photo in twice! Oh well.... Yes I am very fond of scones and it's one of the few things I can bake quite well too! The garden centre does all sorts of cakes but it's always a scone for me.
Hi all
Well, I don't seem to be getting notifications for this thread - I thought it was quiet.
Great photos and great walking.
I did my first "urban hike" yesterday. I'm optimistically saying first! We did 12 miles along the Regents canal - with a detour up Primrose Hill, a stop for lunch and another for a coffee. Then a pub at the end! I was very tired even though it was quite a slow pace.
Dragon boating today - I'm exhausted now and would quite like a nap but I know that's not good for me in the long run so I'm trying to keep busy!!
No good photos but here's one of the view from Primrose hill - I love telecom tower, no idea why.
Hope you've all had a good weekend!

Moomy
