Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
go for it, dont over do it tho eh. Once you get started its great you will be doin 10 miles no bother soon.
Well are travels to night took us to a pub where all the post people drink,
I only needed a wee, so i got a glass of lemonade honest !! Sat for a bit, procrastinating.
Next table were playing dominos, long story short , walked away with £25 winnings.

Morning all!
just a couple of ramblings from me this morning!
My daughter works in a country pub and she was serving a couple of lovely ladies and they got talking. My daughter was telling them about me and dropped the BC bomb into the conversation. When they left they gave her a £10 tip!! She said she felt so bad and had to confess to me that she thought that I was the reason that had done this. Lol! Every cloud........
Also, , you mentioned that you like yorkies. Yesterday I went for a walk to the park with my dog and met a couple walking their puppy. It was a yorkie x poodle, 11 weeks old. She was gorgeous and I told them so. They said “oh my goodness, she’s a nightmare! We call her the Yorkshire terrorist!! Ha ha! Really made me smile.
Have a good weekend all xx

Done similar route to yesterday but with husband in tow and the pub on river was open so a pint and a sarnie was acquired too
you can only walk or get a boat to this pub and it welcomes muddy boots, dogs and kids!
Still very emotional this week, no tears today but picking kids up from airport later so there's still time ;-)
well done on your win last night!
Fuuuuu! Me and my man took dog to the beech...that is after I returned from bus stop kuz didn't have travel pass and then couldn't reopen front door with the key I had cut for him and then of course the bus whizzed passed.
Lots of other dogs there but we timed tide so there was lots of beech and there was lots of fresh air too!
OK we have popped down to see our pal the dog sitter so now I have had a cupper I am going to leave them having a catch up and go home to enjoy the solitude...and after all that fresh air maybe a nap. Ha, I have needed a lie down since hearing the price of chips I bought us : )
Take care
Me too x
I've got my girlies back and only l a few tears. They've had an amazing holiday but are exhausted so now out cold in bed.
Im drinking wine and watching Ted
the beach looks beautiful
Yes the beech was beautiful... thanks to the remaining dregs of lurgy I still couldn't smell the sea air but it was certainly doing its thing.
The man wants to go again in the morning but as he is snoring on sofa after....doh just substitute winj winj winj or see the awake thread, I am not sure how early he will be up and out to accommodate the tide. : )
Well done to everyone who got out, with or without a buttie incentive, and to everyone who really might definitely do it next time.
Take care
