Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Evening lovely people, hasnt this weather been lovely. No big pics right now - have been spending all my outdoor time trying to kick my allotment into shape. I found the lump that is no more in Oct when I was tackling the winter clearout and never really got it cleared as a consequence.
Im so sorry that it is taking so long - here's hoping that you will have a little accelerate in the healing now that the sun has come out.
Violetsniff I love Monty Don - my favourite gardener.
So here is a little snap from the urban walk that I took the dogs on today.
While walked around Eccup,
I was juggling with my A-cup,
went after her grandson,
Then she galloped off,Into the sun.
Didn't quite manage 3000 steps yesterday - 2750. Try again today. Walked to shop and bought a magazine. Nothing very pretty on journey but pots in back garden looking spring like.
Swim in outdoor pool today. Had it almost to myself, lovely. Half term, changing room heaving, but most people indoors. Gradually building up my stamina again. Forgot my makeup and was in witch mode! Xxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
seaspirit44 - i long for the day I can swim again. And outside sounds amazing - heated pool I hope. Xx
Beautiful spring flowers , always love the sweet faces of pansies.
seaspirit44 I am very impressed with the outdoor swim!
Main walking today was from car park, through park, past lake, past cathedral, round town and back (via cafes of course). One good hill so a bit of decent exercise I think! And many steps through park.
Not a great day weather wise but beautiful sunset.
Tree photo won't load but cathedral looked lovely lit up on way back. HFxx
Hi
Wonderful people I took a few days of furlough . Because ..... well you will all get it
But not been slouching around . Had a good few walks . But discovered my left heel has planters fasciitis . Errr hoping the spell check does it’s thing. Doing ice and stretches.
This week nana duty due to half term. Aquafit that won't harm the heel. And a 2 hr Tai Chi sword class
No pics
I promise a sword pic on Saturday
Still awaiting ortho appt for hubby who gets worse by the day. Levels of frustration at peak for him
Leolady56
Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Hi Leolady56, sorry life is chucking such a varied selection of poop your way. Hard dealing with others' frustrations and pain, hope Mr L gets appt soon.
Re plantars faschiwotsit, a friend had that a few years back and got some kind of supportive insole - might be worth checking out? Another pain, another bother....
Hope your lovely grandson provides distraction not to mention joy for you this week. Definitely canters rather than gallops.
Hugs, HFxx
