Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
A ‘Bombe’ day today, lots of standing rather than walking but I’m off for my yoga session tonight as I missed yesterday due to a check up (all ok!) so will get a workout this evening!

Oh no , so sorry you ended up in hotel NHS, and how ridiculous that they did not make sure you had some meds to take home. Get well soon! Xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Owwww - I have only just seen this post!!!!! I am so sorry with all you have gone though today - and its bee a 'one step forward, three steps back' by the look of it. The NHS doing wonders on one hand and taking it back with not giving you a prescription to take else where - how silly.
This always gets me..... when the Hospitals work on a '24 hour' basis and their pharmacy is only open till 'silly o'clock' - crazy, it should be '24 hours' owww.
Well what can I say, I can say, I am glad you are back home and you have been excused from walking today and even tomorrow - but we need you back galloping very soon
Sending you love and big hugs - really hoping your feeling better very soon xxxxx
Hope you’re feeling better, and have your new meds by now?
my walk today will be to collect missing meds for hubs and go to the dentist, know which I prefer, haha!

The hospital would save time and money if they listened to you in the first place ! Hospital pharmacies are funny places , last time I was admitted I was given a script to take to pharmacy on the waout .......waited ages then they said you can’t get this here you must go to Boots .....went there and they would not do it either as the sticky name label partly obscured the date stamp ......I had
mini ,polite , tantrum and they rang my oncology clinic and agreed to do it .......best wishes with everything x ( why odd emoticons ?).....
The Christie changed their pharmacy company to - Boots.
Was it any better?
Of course not!!!!!
hospital pharmacies are a pain! We once waited from 9.30 am for a half hour drug infusion which took till 10.45 pm. And that was due to pharmacy!!!! Daughter was discharged after a stay with pneumonia at 11am, got the ‘take home’ meds by 6.30pm. And that was from a transplant unit bed, always in demand!
