Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Violetsniff| 100 miles!??? That a typo? Or you training for Himalayan trek?
Take care
Well had lad out this mornin 8.30 , walked a couple of miles to the van where I sometimes get my dinner from.
The man asked how I was as he had heard off a colleague I was fighting this bastard disease, and he like's Roland, infact people reconise Roland be for me, have I mentioned lad has a bright red mohawk.
Well free sausage butty and tea and a good laugh too
Now its a bit of Denzal then
RUGBY..!!!!!
Xxx
On my way. Mexican and rugby. What is there not to enjoy Yawning at the Ireland and Italy match. Get the arnica out and get someone to gently massage it in. Yariba yariba. Have sombrero can dance. Are castanets optional extra??
And I would walk one hundred miles and I will walk one hundred more – OKAY mileage changed
Free anything lovely will do me, but great it was a butty. Hope they had the all essential HP sauce - other brown sauces available. Denzil? Film or series?
I have just dried out. Soggy knees from my walk around the shops. It was heaving. Think all the hubbies were out before the rugby started. Lots of trolleys loaded with beers, pizzas, crisps etc etc.
Mr Leo just realised maybe a card for Valentine's needed bless him.
Back to a boring game.
Leolady x

Hello? ...... anyone there? Lol. I tried 3 times to post on the thread yesterday, but failed. It feels like you’ve sent me to Coventry! Lol.
Well here goes.... again... sorry if some bits relate to fridays posts.
Hi all
@toxophilite Hell yes, of course all those stairs count!
@Cannon What a great incentive! I need to get one of those!
@whathappened I too, look to this thread for motivation, but if you are tired, then give into it. This is not a race and there’s always tomorrow (which might not be tomorrow, but will follow some time very soon)
(tagging is not working this morning - it was, when I first typed this, but then I clicked off the site to look for photos and when I came back, all that I had written had disappeared so I’ve had to start again and now it’s not working!!) note to self to do what @leolady does and type in word first!
I didn’t go for a walk yesterday (Friday) as we were packing up to travel home. Arrived home at 6pm and brought my case upstairs. It was strange to see my “normal bed” a place where I have cried alone over these past few weeks. A place where I have laid awake in the night and worried what the future had in store for me. Bit of a surprise, as I hadn’t expected that.
Here are a couple of pics from our journey home through Snowdonia. So beautiful. If you ever get the chance to go there, then do!
Beautiful pics. We love that area of the world. Once - 2014 - had a bonding session with youngest daughter and climbed Snowdon. There and back.
OMG I spent 4 days in sheer agony. Still I did it with her help. Maybe when other side of BC we can all go ........
And have a LOOK
Just got gremlins too in the works.
Sun is in the sky so must walk for an hour.
Have a lovely day and hope you all get a wee gallop in somewhere
you are allowed to watch the rugby and giggle in your seat.
Take care and be gentle with yourself
Leolady

Morning Lovely Ladies:
I'm still not taking official walks, but managed to get in 8000 steps yesterday as we packed up the outdoor equipment and moved a lot of the plants to an easier loading area. It's rather sad to see everything looking rather barren. We're taking a really big load to our new home today and hopefully will get the majority of the inside things tomorrow. After that I'll do my best to post some pictures of our lovely new pond. LOL No worries for you ladies being able to identify sites from me!
I got a new generic Letrozole and have been on it for 3 days now. Not much to gauge yet, but so far I don't seem to have any adverse reactions to it. A bit of a headache. I'm hoping that this thread and you beautiful cheerleaders out there will keep me focused and walking and maybe it will continue to keep the side effects low. The last generic I tried was horrible. BC - the unwanted gift that keeps on giving. Much love ladies! Walk in beauty. xxoo Mira
