Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Currently sacked out on the couch. I've climbed 100 floors in 2 days, done about 18 000 steps and installed an alarm.
Does that count?
Oh, and playing with the customer's puppies. They are so cute it would me rude not to!!
Loving the photos!!

Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Hmmm. Fitbit counted the steps. So it was probably more because it doesn't count when I'm carrying things......
Xx

What a rubbish memory I have, I forgot to report back. I did go for my walk and felt better for it, although got back home and within no time the settee was calling me and I just went back to sleep. Thank You Violetsniff for your kind words.
Wow toxophilite of course all those floors count, not only 'walking' but extra has you're climbing stairs.
On the days when I'm not going out for a walk my 'steps have showed, get this... 105!! and 521!!! The days I've done my walk 2,216 and another was 3,001' (I won't bore you with the other readings, but around the same). No where near the recommended 10,000 a day! See all this sleep in the day and now at 11.00 pm my brain wants to partly wake up, its still tired but doesn't want to sleep - but not awake enough that I could do some paperwork!
It is great to be able to come on here, get motivated to go out for a walk - without this I know I wouldn't of done this xxx
More BG. Was saying on awake thread.. Outrageously sore throat n general fluey ugh but need go get my dog v soon. Paracetmol, tea n yoghurt.... Fuuuuuu temp is through roof... Could have done with that yesterday when I was freezing walking to nearest village with bus!!
Take care
Rotten bad luck Shimmering.
Mr Leo sat coughing and spluttering too. Hope I don't pick up yet another lurgy!!! 2 over Christmas nearly wiped me out.
Hoping that sat on the settee watching rugby counts as exercise. It looks well grotty outside.
Need to go to local town for various meds before the chemist shuts as 12. 2 others open but that's where my scripts get sent. An exciting visit to dry cleaners needed and to the charity shop - I've been 'sorting' again.
Take care everyone
Leolady

Oooh no lurgys, poor ladies! I have been soooo lucky since October, not one bug! Kids have had a few and I've been spraying hand sanitiser at them constantly! Bought a disinfectant spray this week, bit obsessive!!

Will be walking round the shops today but have now got impressive bruising down leg and across ribs from yesterday's fall.....am I 44 or 90!!!

Umm BG? I see it in my post but I may not have put it...possibly bugs? Anyway watching rugby counts as exercise depending on how excitable n involved you get : )
Doh I have retreated to bath...forced myself to go get dog n improved slightly, only to to get home and TMI warning ....major poo incident !!! Least I was home.
Ooh I lucky kuz I live next door to fab independent pharmacy. When I collapsed etc I crawled down strairs and got a passerby to go summon the staff from there for help. My parcels go there too kuz postie never waits till I get downstairs.
I am prevaricating ...do I risk go town ( can I even remember what for) or do a bit of house that really needs done. Ha! all I am doing plenty of is prevaricating !
Take care
